Dr. Neil Patrick graduated as class valedictorian from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2004, following an honours degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Guelph. An extensive traveler and outdoorsman, he worked abroad and within Ontario as a locum doctor before opening his own practice in Creemore in 2006, and expanding to Collingwood in 2010. He lives in the country atop the Niagara Escarpment with his wife and two young children. In his spare time he can be found enjoying the area as an avid skier, snowboarder, hiker and photographer.
Every new patient undergoes an extensive health history and physical examination with Dr. Patrick, leading to a diagnosis, report of findings, and plan of management. Referral to other healthcare providers or x-rays are ordered when appropriate. Treatments consist of individually-based care which typically includes soft tissue therapy including myofascial release, in addition to spinal manipulative therapy and/or mobilizations. Instrument adjusting is available if preferred. Modalities such as electrotherapy or ultrasound are used where appropriate, and self-care instructions such as ice/heat, stretching, exercises, and ergonomic advice help patients to help themselves and prevent future injuries.
